Properties

Uses
Total weed and brush control on non-crop land at 5-15kg a.i./ha. Also for selective control of annual and perennial weeds and grasses in citrus and pineapple plantations at rates in the range 1.5-8kg/ha

Uses

Uses
Used pre-emergence at 1.68-4.48kg/ha to control annual grasses and many broad-leaved weeds in cotton, brassicas, maize, oilseed rape, peanuts, raish, soya beans and sugar cane.

Properties

Paraquat

Properties
Paraquat dichloride colorless, hygroscopic crystals. decomposing at 300 , v.p. negligible. Solubility, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in short-china alcohol, practically insoluble in most other-organic solvents. Stable in neutral and acidic media, but readily oxidized in alaline media. Tech salts are corrosive to common metals.
Uses
Broad-spectrum control of broad-leaved weeds and grasses in fruit orchards,plantation crops, vines, olives, tea, alfalfa, onions, leeks, sugar beet, etc. Also used for general weed control on non-crop land; as a defoliant for cotton ad hops; for destruction of potato haulms; as a desiccant for pineapples, sugar cane, soya beans and sunflowers; For control of annual weeds, applied at 0.4-1.0kg/ha.

Properties

Uses
Effective on deep-rooted perennial species, and annual and binnial species of grasses, sedges and broad-leaved weeds. Used in fruit orchards, vineyards, conifer plantations, and many plantation crops; in cereal stubble; and in pasture renovation. Also used for pre-harvest desiccation of cotton, cereals, peas, beans, etc.; for destruction of rye sown to prevent wind erosion of the soil: for control of suckers on fruit trees; and for aquatic weed control. Glyphosate- sesquisodium is used as a plant growth regulator on sugarcane.
